An open-air exhibition
to be discovered from June 28, 2025
Biron Market, entrance on rue des Rosiers, 1920s-1930s
To celebrate its centenary, the Biron market goes back in time in pictures.
Through a photographic exhibition spread along its aisles, visitors are invited to discover the highlights of its history, echoing that of the Saint-Ouen Flea Market. From the bric-a-brac of the barracks of the last century to the beautiful galleries that line its aisles today, this exhibition spans the ages.
It provides a testimony to the evolution of the district, follows the generations of merchants still present on the market and retraces the most joyful and the most somber events that make up the history of Biron today.
Designed in collaboration with Alexis Lecomte – historian, author, tour guide and creator of the Instagram account Street_story, the exhibition mixes archive images and contemporary views, accompanying visitors as they wander among the 170 art and antique galleries gathered in Biron.
