White Carrara marble and black marble clock, gilded and chiseled bronze ornamentation. The dial is surmounted by an eagle with outstretched wings. The decor is formed by flowery vases, garlands of flowers and bay leaves, foliage and pearls. Dial signed "Rouviere A Paris", watchmaker listed in Tardy's "Dictionary of French Watchmakers", p. 577. Wire movement. A similar model is listed in "The Encyclopédie de La Pendule Française" by Pierre Kjellberg, p.198.
