1930 René Lalique – Decoration Especially Table Caravelle White Glass Base Nickel Plated Metal

Above all table decoration "Caravelle" in white glass by René Lalique created in 1930.
The panel is in moulded-pressed glass and the cords connecting the sails are engraved with a grinding wheel.
Original lighting base in nickel-plated metal.
Signature on the intaglio wheel.
The same model was offered to the English sovereigns King George VI and Queen Elizabeth by the City of Paris on the occasion of their official visit in 1938.
It is a historic and extremely rare piece.
It is also a technical feat in design.
The glass panel is 47 cm high and 62 cm long.
In a perfect state.
