1960 Pair of Armchairs by Pierre Paulin model F444 for Artiflort

Original pair of F444 model living room armchairs designed by Pierre Paulin and manufactured by Artifort in 1963.
The armchairs have a solid steel structure covered in beautiful cognac-colored leather (the cover has been redone identically).
The high back provides excellent support. Although delicate in appearance, the armchairs are in fact very stable and light. Their shape is not only aesthetic, it is designed to fit your body comfortably. 

The black frame bears the metal Artifort label.

In the 1960s, when this chair was created, designers were experimenting with new concepts. The F444 lounge chair is a great example of this spirit. The way it is constructed is also very particular.

Pierre Paulin is one of the greatest representatives of French design. He is known for his modern spirit and the alliance he was able to create between rigor and the organic. He draws his inspiration and influences from Scandinavian furniture, Japanese styles and the work of the Eames couple. Its furniture is characterized by its simplicity, functionality and durability.
