Biography of Jacques Grange.

His first clients were Baron de Rothschild [Which one?] and Ali Khan2, but also Isabelle Adjani, Caroline of Monaco, Alain Ducasse and François Pinault. His main clients, often patrons, were Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, whom he met at the age of 28 and for whom he decorated, among others, the "Château Gabriel" in Benerville-sur-Mer, in the style of In Search of Lost Time4, as well as an apartment on Avenue de Suffren in Paris, his first contract, and part of their apartment on Rue de Babylone, as well as many other places2. In New York, where he opened an office around 20002, he decorated Paloma Picasso's jewelry store (1988), the Mark Hotel on Madison Avenue and the Barbizon Hotel. In 2014, he staged the 27th Biennale des Antiquaires3.

His style is characterized by a harmony between the classical and the contemporary, with a juxtaposition of styles that is in line with Madeleine Castaing5, whose disciple he is6.

He decorated a floor of the Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent Foundation7.

In early 2021, his team will redecorate the historic Chanel salons at 31 rue Cambon (Paris)8.
