A painter specializing in still lifes of flowers, and more particularly roses, Achille Cesbron was a pupil of Léon Bonnat and Fernand Cormon at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. He took part in the Salon for the first time in 1877 and exhibited there regularly. He obtained the Legion of Honor in 1897. He was a member of the Society of French Artists. His works are kept in the museums of Châteaudun, Nevers, Angers, Nantes, Musée d'Orsay.
