1930s Air France poster promoting world tourism.

The poster features a Dewoitine D.333 aircraft registered F-ANQB in the centre, surrounded by characters in traditional costumes representing different cultures from around the world.

Among them we recognize a Spanish flamenco dancer, a Japanese woman in a kimono, an Indian snake charmer, a Mexican wearing a sombrero, a Native American in traditional dress, a Tyrolean in folk costume, an Eastern European woman, as well as a Scotsman wearing a kilt and playing the bagpipes.

In the background, the winged seahorse (nicknamed the shrimp), emblem of Air France from 1933 to 1976, is subtly integrated into the design, symbolizing the dynamism and international openness of the company.
