Poster of the Compagnie de Navigation Paquet created around 1955 to promote maritime tourism to Senegal.

The Paquet Navigation Company (CNP), which became Paquet Cruises,
then sold to the Compagnie maritime des chargeurs réunis was created by Nicolas Paquet, French shipowner.

Founded in 1863, its services have since uninterruptedly linked Marseille and the ports of Morocco. In 1897, one of the lines from Morocco was extended to Senegal. Services became regular in 1913.

The company operates regular services between Marseille, Tangier, Casablanca, the Canary Islands, Dakar and vice versa.
