Rare BILSTON enamel candy dish depicting a dog circa 1770.
The BILSTON enamel box is modeled into a dog's head.
The lid is also decorated with a dog, a Dalmatian raising a paw in a garden.
An identical candy dish depicting the head of a turbaned man is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, Inv. No.2023.441.79.
