Napoleon III Sideboard, Period XIX

This Napoleon III period sideboard, known as "between two or support furniture" is denoted by the great finesse of its marquetry with floral decorations, as well as by the presence of two small curved display cases on either side of the furniture. The whole of it is in blackened pear wood inlaid with marquetry and falls in gilded bronze. The pediment, the central door and the four columns are inlaid on a floral theme. The two showcases as well as the main body consist of three levels covered with red velvet.
