Japanese and English desk in black and red lacquer with gold lacquered panels and inlays, XIXe

Very beautiful black and red lacquered wooden box desk decorated with foliage and birds of paradise. The gold-lacquered panels on the pull-outs, drawer fronts and doors feature landscapes with birds inlaid with bone, mother-of-pearl and agate. They are of great finesse of execution.

Some gaps on the lower doors: restoration estimate on request.
