Bruno Toupry
born in 1969

He learned his art from master craftsmen and through ornamental drawing lessons at the Boulle school. With this learning, he set up as a restorer of gilded furniture and woodwork of the XVIIe and XVIIIth centuries in 2005
He now uses this knowledge capital which allows him to master the creation of his works using traditional techniques
He is a supplier of National Furniture and was selected in 2015 among the 100 Art Creators and Artisans to discover in Paris by the Paris City Hall, a reference in the conservation of craftsmanship in the Capital.
Talents Competition 2005 / Grand medal of the city of Paris 2007 / Exceptional prize of the rotary club 2012
Bruno Toupry, through his profession as an art craftsman, has been searching for 25 years for the perfect gestures that his peers have transmitted to him in a spatial choreography that does not accept frills.
His works take up the codes of the beautiful gesture of the craftsman through a series of tempera paintings
Always attracted to calligraphy for its precision, energy and transience
Through his work, he wanted to transcribe these secular gestures into personal writing.
Aline Putot-Toupry
Born in 1971
Aline Putot –Toupry is a sculptor and drawing and modeling teacher at the Hector Guimard high school in Paris
Member of the Taylor Foundation; Affiliated with the Maison des artistes
15 years studying drawing, modeling and ornamental sculpture on wood, notably at the Boulle school, based on sculptures by XVII th and XVIII th centuries, and thus understand the use of the golden ratio in French ornament and the harmonies of full and empty spaces.
Aline Putot-Toupry worked in the largest Parisian ornamental sculpture workshops, including the Steinitz workshops.
With this rigorous experience of artistic craftsmanship, she turned to creation which is the fruit of the sum of knowledge acquired.
Established since 2007 in Paris.
Sculptor, engraver and painter, his universe is combined in the plural.
She is no less a specialist in all these areas, which allows her to push her creation into each of them, through the different approaches that the material requires.
Two eclectic artists, they work with ceramics, natural pigments, gold, lacquer, amber, wood and tempera.
Travels to Asia and particularly to Japan constantly nourish their artistic imagination.
Their creations form a coherent whole on the duality between the fragility and the strength of life.
Sculptures and plastic compositions seem to be in a position of rupture but to better mark their resistance.
Their sources of inspiration are nature, its harmony, the transformation of matter and resilience; as well as Haiku, Japanese poems that open the doors to inspiration and meditation.
Wabi Sabi is their line of work, of life.
Each of their works is unique and inspired by nature, and intended to provoke meditation.
“We must leave a large space for emptiness, this margin of dream, this infinity of possibilities” stated the Zen monks in the 7th century as they sought through a rapid brushstroke the dazzling mental trigger of awakening. Reducing the universe to its simplest expression, suggesting rather than formulating, creating with the greatest economy of means, is the direct graphic translation of the Zen conception of the world, and their guideline.
