The “Arab horseman saving a man attacked by a lion”, is a beautiful bronze sculpture by Aimé Millet. A pupil of David d'Angers and Viollet le Duc, A. Millet is a reference in sculpture, he lived in France from 1818 to 1891.
This Orientalist sculpture is of large dimensions representing an Arab horseman coming to deliver a man from the claws of a lion. With a brown patina, this bronze offers a beautiful emotion by the character of its characters and the combative behavior of the lion.
Signed "Millet" on the terrace, it was made in XIXth century.
