Coloquinte pitcher in green and beige enamelled sandstone, signed under the Lion base.

Potter in St Amand en Puisaye, he interprets and takes advantage of the contribution of the School of Carries and realizes art ceramics combining Asian inspiration and local tradition, by daring strong contrasts. He likes thick, pot-bellied shapes, which he covers with thick enamels. Eugène Lion's ceramic work perfectly represents the synthesis between the traditional object and the art object.
