Born in Rome in 1847, Clelia was the daughter and pupil of the famous watercolor painter and sculptor Roberto Bompiani, who taught at the San Luca academy.
She became known for her portraits of Roman women, children, and scenes of daily life in Rome and in the villages.
Sculpture, which he learned from his father, is very present in his paintings.
