Marcel COSSON has often dealt with subjects of Opera, ballets, circus. He was a painter of women, of Parisian life, of the world of dance, of the theater. The paintings by Marcel COSSON representing the Foyer de l'Opéra with its ballerinas are particularly popular with collectors.
Marcel COSSON exhibited first at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, of which he became a member, then at the salon of the National Society of Fine Arts and at the Tuileries.
