Jean Louis Marcel COSSON Born in 1878 in Bordeaux (Gironde) / Died in 1956 in Paris.
Genre painter, character compositions, interiors, flowers, gouache painter, watercolorist, Post-Impressionist. Marcel COSSON has often dealt with subjects of Opera, ballets, circus. He was a painter of women, of Parisian life, of the world of dance, of the theater. The paintings of Marcel COSSON representing the Foyer de l'Opéra with his ballerinas are particularly appreciated by collectors. Marcel COSSON exhibited first at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, of which he became a member, then at the salon of the Société Nationale des Beaux -Arts and that of the Tuileries.
