
Pedestal table after a model by the cabinetmaker Diehl in marquetry of sycamore, amaranth,
boxwood and mahogany opening with a frieze drawer. Ornamentation of gilded bronze – beadwork, fruit, ribbons, claw feet. The inlaid top represents a couple of birds, a circular frame decorated with a frieze of posts. Projecting feet joined by a spacer adorned with
bronze beads. In perfect condition.

Charles-Guillaume Diehl moved to Paris in 1840. He specialized
in the manufacture of small furniture with bronze and porcelain, tables
living room, work and toilet, wedding furniture. He participates in
many exhibitions.
