A pupil of Dominique Antoine Magaud, Jules Claverie participated in the Salon of French artists between 1897 and 1931 and obtained several awards. He also participates in regional exhibitions. Claverie was a professor at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Marseille.
His works are kept at the Museums of Fine Arts in Dijon and Marseille.
