Sauvage Charles Gabriel known as Lemire-Sauvage. French sculptor (born April 24, 1741 in Lunéville (Meurthe et Moselle), died in 1827 in Paris), son of a founder, Lemire worked very young, in 1759, in the modeling workshops of the Niderviller factory. He was its director for around twenty years. He exhibited in Paris from 1808 to 1819 and won a medal in 1808. Mention is made of him L'Innocence, marble for the Ministry of the Interior, now at the Tours Museum and The Genius of Poetry from the Marseille Museum. The Louvre preserves from him: Love putting a string to its bow.
