This oil work on large canvases, each 162×130 cm, is made with successive glazes, like light veils placed lightly on the floral subjects. The flowers in bright and deep tones mounted by successive glazes contrast with the dark background with deep browns in order to bring out the floral subject. 

The lilies at the bottom of the composition carry the floral ensemble in majesty in a circular and rising movement suggested by their slender and stringy stem.
