Cast iron pharmacy bottle opener, thin XVIIIrd
Traditionally used to reduce the size of corks so they can be inserted into a vial or bottle, thus creating an airtight seal.
Here, a traditional model from that era, adorned with floral motifs and a serpent, emblem of Asclepius, the deity presiding over the knowledge of apothecaries.
A small flaw to note on the lower right tip.
