Maison Jansen is an interior design house founded in 1880 by Jean-Henri Jansen. At the beginning, the Jansen house did not have any furniture manufacturing workshop and reused already manufactured furniture. The company becomes one of the largest buyers of antiques in Europe. Subsequently, in the 1890s, the Jansen house created an antique gallery to sell its objects. In the 1940s, the company created its own workshops in Paris. The Jansen house has worked with prestigious clients such as Queen Elizabeth II, Valérie Giscard d'Estaing, the White House under John Fitzgerald Kennedy or the royal families of Belgium and Iran and institutions such as the Opéra Garnier, the 'National Assembly, the Ritz Hotel.
