Decorated with winged caryatids carrying two torches adorned with friezes of palmettes.

Work from the Empire period attributable to Thomire-Duterme (1804-1820), a renowned bronze-worker of the 1st Empire.

Model in the same spirit at the Louvre Museum, at the Petit and Grand Trianon as well as at the Château de Fontainebleau.

Original mercury gilding.

Very beautiful matte and burnished gilding.
