Pair of Louis style sconces XVI with two sconces in gilded bronze decorated with heads of goats, parrots and mascarons. The thyrsus-shaped barrel with a gunmetal patina is decorated with a frieze of laurel leaves and is topped with a pine cone. Parrots hold a garland of flowers in their beaks.
Model executed after a drawing by Jean-Louis Prieur (1732-1795). The drawing executed around 1780 is kept in the library of the Museum of Decorative Arts.
