Pair of Louis style sconces XVI in gilt bronze with three sconces decorated with ribbon, acanthus leaves, vines and branches.

The wall lights are signed and dated "Henry Dasson 1881".

XIXth century.
One of the best-known French cabinetmakers and bronzers of the second half of the XIXth century, Henry Dasson specializes in making replicas of furniture from the XVIIIth century, and those of the time of Louis XVI specifically. Its richly decorated bronze furniture seduces the wealthy French and international clientele. Henry Dasson participated in various exhibitions, including the Universal Exhibition, and won numerous awards including a gold medal in 1878. He became a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1883.
