
Pair of Louis period sconces XVI in gilded bronze with two arms of light. The shaft in the shape of a sheath is decorated with the profiles of King Louis XVI and Queen Marie-Antoinette face to face. The portraits are supported by royal coats of arms bearing the initials MA for Marie-Antoinette framed by two cherubs. King Louis XVI wears the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Holy Spirit. The barrel is finished with a decoration of vine leaves and grapes. The damping is
decorated with a Louis knot XVI. The two arms of light are decorated with acanthus leaves. Beautiful carving. The pair of sconces retains its period mercury gilding.
