Pair of large Louis style sconces XVI.

Pair of important Louis style sconces XVI in chiseled and gilded bronze with three arms of light. The shaft in the shape of a quiver with arrows ends in its lower part with a pine cone. The cushioning is decorated with a Louis knot XVI. The three arms of light are decorated with acanthus leaves and a garland of roses.

This rare model was executed around 1785, after a drawing by Hauré, delivered by Ravrio in 1805 for the dining room of the Petit Trianon occupied by Pauline Borghèse before being sent to Fontainebleau to adorn the dining room of the Empress.
