
1st Empire period bollard clock in matt and burnished gilt bronze. The pendulum is
surmounted by a cupid holding a butterfly. It is decorated with rosettes and diamonds centered with mascarons on the sides. Its quadrangular base surrounded by a frieze of stylized leaves rests on four top feet. The white enamel dial indicating the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in Arabic numerals in increments of fifteen is signed "Lesieur à Paris", the watchmaker is listed in the Dictionary of French watchmakers de Tardy, 1972.
