The white enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes signed “Lepaute/A Paris” is supported by a trumpeting elephant resting on a rockery terrace. An allegorical character blowing a horn and surrounded by broad-leaved cattail (Typha latifolia) surmounts the dial. Wire movement.
