Small Louis Vuitton trunk from the 1890s, Vuitton trunk in woven canvas

This delightful little Louis Vuitton trunk is adorned with the highly sought-after Monogram woven canvas, its borders are in leather, its corners, locks and side handles are in solid brass. Its brass locks, studs and side handles are marked Louis Vuitton. This Vuitton trunk has a very warm and luminous patina. The hand painted French flag on each side adds lots of charm to this piece. The interior is also original, it still has its original Louis Vuitton stamp as well as its serial number. Generally speaking, its interior is in good condition considering that it is over 120 years old. It has retained its original zinc bottom to protect this trunk from humidity during its former trips to humid countries. Thanks to its very unusual proportions, it would be perfect as a bedside table, sofa end table or for many other uses.
