Henri Bargas is a famous French sculptor, active in the 1920s-1930s.

Animal and academic sculptor, his works are characterized by an expressive touch and precision of detail.
H. Bargas regularly goes to the Jardin des Plantes in Paris to study and observe animals.
He trained and collaborated with E.Jacques RUHLMANN and Marcel Sandoz.
In the 1930s, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris.

His sculptures are essentially inspired by classical Greek art and by the works of EA Boudelle.
