Vincent Darré, born January 13, 1959 in Paris[1], is a French stylist and interior designer. He was, for several years, Karl Lagerfeld's assistant and right-hand man. He moved from the field of fashion to decoration during the 2000s.
A regular contributor to L'Officiel since 2013 as a "curator" for several issues per year[8], he includes his drawings and invites his friends Bernard Chapuis, Philippe Azoury and Paquita Paquin to participate in the magazine.
It will showcase 200 pieces, dating from the 1930s to the 1950s, from the Mobilier National to the Galerie des Gobelins at the end of 2022 and will have custom sets made for the event.
Described as a "party-loving dandy" by L'Express or the "symbol of an artisanal and offbeat art of living" by Paris Match, "eccentric" and baroque, he remains above all an expert in decorative arts who does not hesitate to question the precepts of his field of activity with "his chic and offbeat style" inspired by the surrealists or Dadaism.
