TIMMERMANS Louis Etienne

Louis Etienne TIMMERMANS was a student of the Academy of Brussels and the School of Fine Arts in Paris. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris obtaining an honorable mention in 1904. Louis Etienne TIMMERMANS worked mainly in France, painting seascapes, views of ports and the quays of the Seine in Paris. Louis Etienne TIMMERMANS was particularly sensitive to the atmosphere of the small fishing ports which he painted with precise realism. Louis Etienne TIMMERMANS brings back from a stay in Holland landscapes where he makes play with light and water with lyricism.
