  • Plan of the city and fauxbourgs of Paris, divided into 20 districts, the majority of which has been rectified according to different designs drawn geometrically, taken from the office of Mr. Chevalier de Beaurain, ordinary geographer of the King, & many observations made on the spot by the author, which served to reform several omissions [sic] which were left to remain in those which preceded this one. Tables have been attached which indicate the couriers, coaches, coaches and ro-rollers from different places in France, and the day of their departure, the letter boxes of the Grand Poste and the main passages from one street to the next. the other (.).
  • In-4, brown half-basane, raised spine, engraved title, large general folding plan and 34 plates on double page, (28) ff.n.ch. of tables d. Small frictions. Tiny foxing. Very good copy.
  • One of the rarest maps of Paris, entirely engraved. Second edition increased, compared to the first of 1763, with 6 double leaves containing an Alphabetical Table of the couriers, coaches and carriages of the kingdom, the day of their departure, their residence and that of the wagoners. Recommendable for its precision and attention to detail, this very beautiful map of Paris from XVIIIth century is full of the table, part which does not always present itself. The plan is not based on a new survey, but derives from the work and publications of Delagrive. However, it was its publication which justified the attribution to Deharme of the title of Topographer of the King by patent of March 5, 1763.
