WOLFERS – Pair of low solid silver candelabra – Art Deco period
An elegant pair of low, solid silver candelabra, each composed of three arched arms rising from a central stem surmounted by a fourth light. The perfectly polished, circular candle holders create a subtle play of light and delicately reflect their surroundings. The base, a geometric glass plinth with a slightly greenish tint, lends the ensemble a contemporary touch and a sense of visual lightness.
The contrast between the gleaming metal and the transparency of the glass particularly highlights the precision of the lines and the craftsmanship of the silversmith. The whole piece exudes harmony, balance, and artisanal mastery.

Philippe Wolfers (1858–1929), grandson of the founder, was a major artist of the Art Nouveau movement. A sculptor, designer, and goldsmith, he created exquisitely crafted jewelry and silverware, often inspired by nature and symbolism. His creations, now sought after by collectors and museums, are among the masterpieces of European goldsmithing.
The Wolfers company then evolved towards more Art Deco, and later modernist, lines during the 20th century, while maintaining its high standards of quality. It produced decorative objects as well as silverware, religious silverware, and special commissions for royal courts and prominent European families.
