Very beautiful oil on canvas produced at the end of the XIXth, allegory of peace and hope. The painting represents five cherubs, one of which sculpts two doves symbol of peace. References to war are represented several times, notably by the arrows held by one of the two doves.
This painting is unsigned in the style of François Boucher.
The wooden frame and gilded stucco is imposing. It is loaded with a floral decoration in beautiful harmony with the subject.
