Alfred Barye , sculpteur français renommé , dit « le Fils », ou « Alf Barye » , né à Paris , le 21 janvier 1839 .
Alfred Barye est l’élève de son père , le sculpteur Antoine-Louis Barye (1795-1875).
Il se forme et travaille dans l’Atelier et la fonderie de son père .
Son œuvre comprend des bronzes animaliers ainsi que des sujets orientalistes et comiques .
Il expose au Salon de 1864 à 1882 .
Les oeuvres d’Alfred Barye , montrent un très haut degré de détail , d’exécution et de finition , à l’égal des oeuvres de son père .
Alfred Barye réalise le « Cavalier arabe à cheval » avec la collaboration d’ Émile Coriolan Guillemin (1841-1907) .
Il décède le 13 mai 1895 , à Paris .

Alfred Barye was a pupil of his father , the sculptor Antoine-Louis Barye (1795-1875) .
He trained and worked in his father’s Atelier and foundry .
His work includes animal bronzes as well as orientalist and comic subjects .
He exhibited at the Salon from 1864 to 1882.
The works of Alfred Barye , show a very high degree of detail , execution and finish , on a par with the works of his father .
Alfred Barye created the « Arab Horseman on Horseback » with the collaboration of Emile Coriolan Guillemin (1841-1907) .
He died on May 13, 1895 , in Paris .
