Luca Madrassi (1848-1919)
Luca Madrassi est un sculpteur français , d’origine italienne (1848-1919).
Il commence ses études artistiques à Rome avant d’étudier à l’École des Beaux-Arts de Paris , où il est l’élève de Pierre-Jules Cavelier .
Il rejoint ensuite le studio d’Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse .
Entre 1876 et 1880 , Madrassi fut le praticien de Gustave Doré , cette collaboration peut expliquer les analogies entre les œuvres de Carrier-Belleuse et Doré .
Luca Madrassi expose au Salon de la Société des Artistes français à Paris à partir de 1879 .
Il y obtient pour ses sujets souvent allégoriques des mentions honorables à plusieurs reprises (1881, 1882, 1883 et 1885) ainsi qu’une médaille de troisième classe en 1896 .
Il obtient la nationalité française et devient membre de la Société des Artistes français en 1890 .
Il expose également au Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-arts en 1896 .

He also exhibited at the Salon of the National Society of Fine Arts in 1896 .
